Virat Kohli named ICC player of the decade and cricketer of the decade

India captain Virat Kohli has been named the ICC ODI player of the decade and cricketer of the decade. Earlier, was chosen as the captain of the Test team of the decade by the International Cricket Council. The RCB skipper also made it to the ODI and T20I teams of the decade, led by former India skipper MS Dhoni. Australia and RCB opener Aaron Finch and South Africa’s AB de Villiers also feature in the T20I team of the decade.

The T20I side comprised of two other Indian cricketers – Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. The list has four cricketers from India, two from West Indies, two from Australia and one each from Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Afghanistan.

The ICC’s ODI team of the decade led by MS Dhoni includes Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Another RCBian to make the list is South Africa’s AB de Villiers.

The Test XI led by Virat Kohli too features another RCB star in the form of Dale Steyn. While off-spinner R Ashwin is the only India bowler to have made the list.

Indian women too feature in the lists announced by the ICC. Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami are a part of the ODI team while Harmanpreet Kaur and Poonam Yadav make it to the T20I team.
