David Warner, Sean Abbott ruled out of the Boxing Day Test
David Warner and Sean Abbott have been ruled out of the 2nd Test against India with injuries. Both the players were outside the bio-bubble in order to get treatment for their respective injuries. Warner, who sustained a groin injury during the ODI series, hasn't fully recovered. Although Abbott has recovered from the calf injury, the protocol doesn't allow him to rejoin the squad in time for the Boxing Day Test.

"While neither player has been in a specific 'hotspot' on Sydney's northern beaches as outlined by NSW Health, Cricket Australia's biosecurity protocols do not allow them to rejoin the squad in time for the Boxing Day Test," Cricket Australia was quoted as saying in a statement.
Considering the fresh outbreak of COVID-19 cases in Sydney, Warner and Abbott were flown out to Melbourne. They will, however, join the roster ahead of the third Test, which is scheduled to be held from January 7. "No additional players will be added to the squad for the Boxing Day Test. David Warner and Sean Abbott will rejoin the Australian men's Test squad ahead of the third Test against India." - CA added.
India and Australia meet again in the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 26.
